Our automated solutions can dispense accurately from a 20 nanoliter drop size to multiple liters. We are competent in the pressure over liquid, pipetting, peristaltic, and volumetric pumping methods. 


CASE STUDY EXAMPLE: Dispense valves automatic tip cleaning

PROBLEM

There is a high cost, quality and throughput impact related to cleaning tips. Scientists in the Life Science Assays  will dispense with fewer tips to reduce cleaning time which leads to limited throughput. In addition, dispense volume consistency is an issue with certain reagents if frequent cleaning isn’t done and cross-contamination when switching cell lines with manual cleaning processes. It is also costly to waste expensive reagents when cleaning is done manually and the lines need to be purged. 

SOLUTION

Arimation developed an automatic solution for this with the help of FESTO LifeTech in Boston and Germany. This solution can also clean 100% of the precision valve’s wetted parts without wasting the reagent. This solution can be utilized in the pressure over liquid and peristaltic dispense situations. 

VALUE

This solution enables full dispense capacity utilization, when cleaning is needed during the assay, because the cleaning is fully automated and all available dispense tips can be used. Better dispense volume consistency is achieved with reagents that cause variation if frequent cleaning isn’t done. With this solution you could clean the valves after each pass when dispensing to a microwell plate for example. When switching reagents, this cleaning will also eliminate the cross-contamination concerns by enabling multiple cleaning solutions to be used fully automatically.
